Ericsson Hot Air Engine
This is a 1/4 scale Ericsson Hot Air Engine. The engine stands about 19" tall with a bore of 2" diameter & 1" stroke. The castings were purchased from Norbert Keeley Model Engine works. I got the desire to build this engine when it was featured in Live Steam Magazine many years ago. This is a nice running engine and has many hours of running on propane gas. The original engine was coal fired and was located in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. |
